Cockney is predicted to disappear from London within 30 years. Linguists say that inner-city Londoners increasingly speak Multicultural London English, or 'Jafaican' a hybrid of Cockney, Bangladeshi and West Indian dialects - while traditional Cockney is more likely to be heard in Essex and Hertfordshire.
