Leeds Castle Accommodation Options
You have a choice of two categories of accommodation - The State Rooms and Battlement (Servants) Rooms.
Your first instinct may be to select the State Rooms, but first absorb the details and descriptions below, and you may find the Battlement (Servants) Rooms more suited to your ‘fancy’. Each room is entirely different with its own distinct character, quirkiness and style. We promise you that no two rooms are remotely the same!
In total there are 10 State Rooms and 7 Battlement (Servants) Rooms.
Please note, spaces in each room category are limited and will be sold specifically on a first come first sold basis. If you are keen to stay in any particular category you should consider booking as soon as possible to avoid possible disappointment.
Additionally, whilst each room in each accommodation category has a specific name and style we are not able to allocate any particular room to a booking. You can only book a category of accommodation. You can request a specific room but this cannot be in any way confirmed or guaranteed.
Note: there is no lift in the Castle.
The State Rooms in the castle are on the First floor accessible by the huge master staircase. The Servant’s rooms are called ‘battlement rooms’ and are on the second floor.
Battlement (Servants) Rooms - 7 Rooms
Beautifully renovated and still using quality, period style furniture. These converted servants’ living quarters are spacious and the bathrooms have all been completely modernized providing top class facilities. Each room tells a story and sensitively decorated in keeping with the role of the original servants who lived there. The room names speak for themselves – Chef’s Room, Butler’s Room, Lady’s Maid’s Room, Groom’s Room, Valet’s Room, Gamekeeper’s Room and Chauffeur’s Room. Please note, these rooms have limited views of the moat and grounds.
This is the standard room included in our tour price. To upgrade to either the State Rooms an upgrade fee will apply - see below.
State Rooms - 10 Rooms
Naturally they are the largest of all the rooms available. As you would expect they have a grand style with 20’s style period piece furniture and about half of these rooms have the original ‘four poster’ beds. They all retain the original, older style bathrooms. Some rooms have separate showers and baths. Others have showers over baths.
