What tour did you travel on?

Sardinia & Corsica, the Lands of Myths and Legends in May, 2019

Why did you select this particular tour?

We were looking to see somewhere "different" and these two places seemed to be almost the 'forgotten islands of the Med' and that intrigued us.

Who did you travel with?

My wife.

Have you travelled with us previously?

Yes, I have travelled with Albatross Tours twice before on the Italian Lakes & Tuscany and Swiss Christmas in Zermatt tours.

What was your favourite place/s on your Albatross tour?

Our favourite place was Bonifacio. Having time to walk around and thoroughly enjoy the 'Old City' was amazing. The little shops , bars and restaurants all had a certain 'style' and everyone was so very welcoming.

What was the most amazing thing you saw or did on your Albatross tour?

The 3,700 year old Nuraghe Rock town. To actually walk inside something that 'Man' had built that many years ago was an amazing experience - almost eerie.

Tell us about your most memorable moment on tour?

The 4WD into the the Supramonte mountains and the views were incredible. Breathtaking is an understatement!

This was followed by the Shepherds lunch which was, without doubt, the best BBQ we have ever been to. One of the best and most enjoyable days we have ever experienced!

What was your favourite meal on tour?

Our final dinner in a local restaurant in the town of Calvi was a lovely evening - the food was superb and the atmosphere of the 'local venue' made the evening something special.

What advice do you have for anyone interested in travelling on this tour?

If you are looking form something different this is the tour for you. Two Islands, two cultures, two languages, and two very different experiences so close together.

Would you recommend this tour to family and friends?

Absolutely, this tour offers a real mix of history, cultures, food, and wine - and all so very easy to see and enjoy being so close. A magic trip!
