Important Dates

• Deadline for submitting your photos is midnight, Friday, 17 April 2026.
• Finalists will be announced and voting will open on Friday, 24 April 2026.
• Voting closes Monday, 4 May 2026.
• The winners of the competition will be announced by Tuesday, 5 May 2026 via our social media pages. 

Determining the winner

Photos will be judged on creativity and photographic quality. The top finalists will be selected by Albatross Tours which will then be displayed on the Albatross Tours website for public voting to determine the winners.

Terms and Conditions

1. Standard Terms

1.1  Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

2. Who can Enter

2.1 Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand only who have travelled on an Albatross Tours European Christmas, New Year & Northern Lights Small Group Tour on the 2024/25 festive programme.
2.2 All employees and their immediate families of Albatross Tours and The Albatross Group are not eligible to enter.
2.3 Entrants under the age of 18 to have obtained permission from their parent/guardian.

3. Entry requirements

3.1 Entries must be true photographs or videos and not composites or overly enhanced by digital manipulations in an unrealistic manner.
3.2 Photos are to be supplied free of watermarks, date stamps or text. Collage/ mural images will not be accepted.
3.3 Entrant must be the photographer and owner of the copyright for any image entered.
3.4 Entries must be in digital form, submitted in JPEG high resolution format. Entries submitted via email must be a minimum file size of 1MB.
3.5 While the photographer retains the copyright of all images submitted as competition entries, Albatross Tours and The Albatross Group reserve the right to unlimited use of any image submitted for Marketing and Promotional purposes.

4. How to Enter

4.1 The 'Winter Wonderland' photo competition entries must be submitted by midnight, Friday, 17 April 2026 AEST. Finalists will be announced on Friday, 24 April 2026 with voting open until Midnight Monday, 4 May 2026.
4.2 In order to be eligible, entrants must submit the highest resolution version of the image as possible via the website upload.
4.3 Entries must feature any landmarks, regions, villages, cities or memories which are visited by Albatross Tours on any of Albatross Tours European Christmas, New Year & Northern Lights tour from the 2025/26 programme.
4.4 Entrants may submit an unlimited number of photos in the competition.
4.5 All photo entries must be correctly labelled with the location of the image, your name and provide relevant contact details.
4.6 Photos are to be supplied as single images without date stamps or text. Collage/ mural images will not be accepted.
4.7 Photos will not be eligible if submitted in hard-copy. Only high resolution JPG files of images will be accepted.
4.8 Photos submitted in previous years 'Best of Europe' or 'Winter Wonderland' photo competitions are not eligible to enter. Entries can only be accepted from tours that have operated between November 2025 to April 2026 and that you have travelled on.
4.9 Entries will not be returned at the completion of the competition.

5. How to Win

5.1 Albatross Tours will select our top finalists based on creativity and photographic quality. The images will be open to voting on the Albatross Tours website.
5.2 The top two (2) photos with the greatest number of votes on the Albatross Tours website will win one of two prizes:

i. First prize: $400 Visa Gift Card
ii. Second prize: $200 Visa Gift Card

5.3 During the online website voting period, only one (1) vote per person will be accepted. Multiple votes from the same computer IP address will not be accepted and will be deemed invalid.
5.4 The winners will be notified via email and will be announced via Albatross Tours social media pages.
